Netflix announced that Rebel Moon will have a director’s cut released on August 2, but it won’t be under the original subtitles. The Zack Snyder would-be Star Wars will be given new names under these versions, which the streamer promises to be bloodier than before.

“Delve further into the mythology and madness of Zack Snyder’s epic sci-fi saga in the viciously sexier, bloodier world of Rebel Moon,” the official description reads. It will be broken up into Chapter One: Chalice of Blood and Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness.

The director shot alternate takes for the director’s cuts, which are longer, R-rated, and even carry a different tone than the PG-13 versions of the previously released movies on the streamer. The first half of Rebel Moon dropped over the Christmas holiday, earning mixed to scathing reviews. It was followed by Part Two in April.

Back in December, Snyder told GamesRadar that the specific cuts and changes he made, make both films alternate versions of them.

“The thing I’m most excited about people seeing when they watch the director’s cut is, rather than it being an extended or different version of these movies, they’re kind of like this alternate universe version of the movie,” Snyder said. “That’s kind of how I describe them Come from South African Online Casinos . Even though, of course, there’s many scenes that are the same, there’s so much that’s different, even the points of view are slightly different. And I think that’d be fun for audiences to see this much deeper dive. Each of them is one hour longer, the two movies together are six hours. And I think that that’s going to be fun for fans. Snyder has mentioned he has plans for six Rebel Moon features, so it’ll be interesting to see if fans actually end up with 12 movies altogether.
